Pedro Lozoya Garcia, 71, of Denver, passed away Sept. 9 in Brighton, peacefully in his sleep.
Pedro was born in Cameron County, Texas, Nov. 8, 1945, to Pedro Garcia and Aurora Lozoya.
Survivors are siblings Juan Garcia, Sylvia Garcia, Olivia Arreola, from Florida; Rogelio and Roberto Garcia, from Texas; Jose, Rene, Rolando Garcia, Aurora Castaneda and Maria de la Paz Slotto from Ohio; Nancy Velez, from New Jersey, plus other siblings from Texas; five children who reside in Colorado; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
His wife, San Juanita Garcia; a son, Ruben Garcia; a sister, Maria Garcia; and two brothers, Ricardo and Daniel Garcia, preceded him in death.
Pedro worked in the concrete business for most of his life. He enjoyed playing guitar, singing, dancing, greyhound dog races and a good game of pool, as well as spending time with friends and family.
A special thanks to Avamere staff, Compassus Hospice that helped in the care of our father and brother.
Services for Pedro will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at the El Siloe Apostolic Church, 6736-6738 E. Colfax Ave. Denver.
