Ray L. Allen, 73, of Brighton, passed away July 11 in Brighton.  He was born April 9, 1944, in Huntington, Utah, to Lewis and Alice (Stokes) Allen.  He graduated form Huntington High School and attended Utah State University for two years.  He married Betty Dawson Oct. 15, 1970, in Ogden, Utah.
Ray lived in the Brighton-Henderson area for the last 40 years and worked in the oil-and-gas industry as a truck driver and dispatcher, retiring in 2016.  He loved to golf, watch NASCAR and was a huge Denver Broncos fan.  He had a reserved personality but loved to keep his family close.
Survivors include his children, Mary Ann (Jerry) Lucas of Wichita, Kan., Dana (Chris) Elinski of Andover, Kan., Sherry Schriver of Northglenn, Tina (Ernest) Segovia of Henderson, and Brad (Sondra) Allen of Brighton; sister, Zelma (Jack) Minchey of Utah, and other siblings; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
A graveside service was July 17 at Elmwood Cemetery in Brighton. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
