Susan Winter of Brighton passed away Sept. 15 at age 70. She was married to Lesley Winter for 53 years, and they have been long-time residents.
Susan was a really strong woman who endured a lot of surgeries throughout her life. She toughed it out always and never got depressed. She had the love and support of her husband, as well as her family and friends. She had a great sense of humor and always said her mind.
She loved fishing with Les, traveling, especially the Oregon Coast, dining out and dancing at Dutch Hops. She worked as a Realtor and a title clerk.
Susan was born in Brush in 1947 to John and Emma (Schlagel) Beauprez and grew up around Northern Colorado. She went to high school in Platteville and Brighton.
Her siblings, Joyce (Beauprez) Baumgartner and John Beauprez Jr., of Brighton; two daughters, Ragan (Winter) McCartney, of Brighton, and Marla Winter, of Thornton; two grandchildren; and and two great-grandchildren preceded her in death.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support. Susan did not want a funeral service.
We apologize to those who may need more closure. We will be having a small memorial in October with family and close friends.
