Lois Conner, 90, of Memphis, TN, died Saturday, July 13, 2013 at her home. She was a homemaker, member of Bellevue Baptist Church since 1977 and was a member of the King’s Family Sunday School Class. Mrs. Conner attended Arkansas State and Mississippi College and taught grade school in Lawrence County during WW II. She also cared for many children in her home for twenty-six years. Mrs. Conner was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, George L. Conner, Jr. and is survived by her children, Sandra Butler (Jim), June Rhea (Mike), Kathy Tutor (Dennis) and Dr. George Conner (Brenda); nine grandchildren, Steven Rhea, Julie Liddy, Blake Butler, Matthew Butler, Christopher Tutor, Austin Tutor, Ryan Tutor, Andrew Tutor, Luke Conner and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty Jean Collins, Alice Collins, Olivette Stock and her brother, Barksdale Taylor. Mrs. Conner was preceded in death by seven siblings. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, July 15 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home. Services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 16 at Bellevue Baptist Church with interment to follow in Forest Hill East Cemetery. Forest Hill East Funeral Home 901-382-1000

We have lost a precious loving lady but JESUS now has a dedicated believer in Heaven with him. She influenced so many lives. Our love and prayers are with all of you. She was loved by anyone who knew her.
