CHARLES ACKERMAN Obituary

CHARLES J. ACKERMAN, 94, died Thursday, October 4, 2012 in Covington, TN. He was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. He was a WWII US Army veteran. After returning home, he worked for General Motors Automobile Company for many years. Upon retiring, he relocated to Tennessee. He is survived by his sons: Wilbert Drost Jr. and Gene Drost; daughters: Linda Drost, Louanne Gates, Rita George, Doris Perry, and Judy Lewis; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Ackerman. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington, TN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, in the Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dave Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. www.northridgefh.com (901)872-3375
