ALLEN Sr., ROBERT E.  
ROBERT E. ALLEN, SR., 83, departed this life on Wednesday morning, July 1, 2015. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 59 years, Ruby J. Powell Allen and six children, Joyce Harris, Lynn Harris (William Anderson), Robert E. Allen, Jr., Chequeta D. Allen, Barbara Burks and Ronald Burks. He also leaves a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Allen was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean Conflict from 1952-1954 when he was honorably discharged. He was a member of the American Legion and was employed as a Motor Tank Salesman with Exxon Corporation, where he retired after 27 years. For many years, Mr. Allen taught as a certified instructor of the AARP Safe Driver Training Course at local churches and non-profit locations. Visitation will be from 11 a.m., Sunday, July 5, until service time at 12 noon at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. Burial in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Tuesday, July 7 at 11:30 a.m. E. BALLARD, ALLEN LESLEY  
Allen Lesley Ballard, 74, of Memphis, passed away on June 29, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Ballard, sons, Steven Ballard and David Ballard and daughter, Vickie Ballard Sales. He is also survived by sisters, Nellie Menees and Brenda Booth and brother, Travis Ballard. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Wednesday July 1, 2015 from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m. with service to follow at 2 p.m. all at Brantley Funeral Home, 6875 Cockrum Street, Olive Branch, MS. BLAKE, LORENE WESTBROOK  
LORENE WESTBROOK BLAKE, 90, was born on April 28, 1925 in Oxford, MS and peacefully transitioned on June 29, 2015 at 12:20 a.m. at home with her family. In 1950, she moved to Memphis, TN and joined Springdale Baptist Church where she served faithfully as long as her health allowed. She was a gifted seamstress, homemaker, and cook which enhanced her calling to care for all people. She clothed and fed many and it was as if her barrel never ran out. She did not stop until every mouth was fed. Despite meager provisions, she did this by her strong faith in God. Her memory lives on in the hearts of all those who were blessed by her. In 1949, she was united in matrimony to James Arthur Blake, who preceded her in death. To that union six children were born. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Anita Joyce Blake Johnson, her parents, William Westbrook and Mary Westbrook Green and eight siblings. She is survived by four daughters, Ellen Tate, Martha Blake, Edna (Carlos) Chambers, Tammie Blake; one son, Shun Blake; four stepchildren, Juanita Mitchum, Winnie (Cleophas) Johnson, Forestine Brassell and Earl (Alice) Blake; one sister, Martha Jones; one cousin, Johanna Burnett; 42 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren, 29 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Sunday, July 5 at Superior Funeral Home, 1129 N. BOLDING, DANNY RAY  
Danny Bolding, 61, went to his heavenly home Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Danny was a very strong Man of God. He loved the Lord and often made hospital visits to the suffering or sick, praying powerful prayers over them. He was a Maintenance Electrician for Hunt Wesson for over 30 years. He was also a Realtor with Crye-Leike. The Bolding’s currently attend Life Church but are former members of First Assembly of God Memphis. Danny loved his family and children and enjoyed fishing with his sons. His survivors include his wife, Peggy Bolding of Eads, TN; sons, Kendall Bolding of Eads; and Jeff Bolding of Olive Branch; and brother, Harold (Sharon) Bolding of Sarasota, FL. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Hubert Bolding. Graveside Services were in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery on Friday, July 3, 2015. Interment was in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. IDA MAE “Ikie” BROWN, 84, passed July 1, 2015. She was a member of Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church and the Gold Friends. Visitation, Monday, July 6 from 4-6 p.m. at Joe Ford Funeral Home. BRYANT, VICTORINE REYNOLDS  
Olive Branch - VICTORINE “Vicky” REYNOLDS BRYANT, a retired Dexter, Missouri, school teacher was born on May 6, 1923, and died June 30, 2015. On August 10, 1946, she was united in marriage to John Phillip Bryant at DeSoto, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, three brothers, and a son-in-law, Paul J. Cetto. Survivors are a daughter, Ruth Ellen Cetto of Olive Branch; sons, John Christopher Bryant (Beth) of Creol Springs, Illinois, and James Phillip Bryant (Laurel) of St. Louis, Missouri. also surviving are four grandchildren: John Bryant Cetto, Andrew James Bryant, Anne Victorine Cetto, and Ellen Christine Bryant. Other survivors include her friends in Wesleyan Sunday School Class. She was a member of Maples memorial United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Twigs Cultural Group. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. with the funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 2 at Maples Memorial United Methodist Church in Olive Branch. Graveside services will be Friday, June 3 11 a.m. at Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Maples United Methodist Church. CARROLL, ANNIE LAURA  
Annie Laura Carroll, 87, went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2015, after a short illness following a broken hip. She was born on March 4, 1928 in Irondale, AL, of James and Alma Nolan, youngest of six children. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James E. Carroll (Gene), one daughter, Sharyn Collier (Charles) of Collierville, TN, one son, Mike Carroll (Connie) of Albany, GA, four grandchildren, Kim Wallace (Michael), Laurie Burnett (Lee) all of Wetumpka, AL, Missie Mendoza (Ventura) of Albany, GA, and Mickey Carroll (Melissa) of Clarkesville, GA, and 12 great-grandchildren. Annie Laura was a faithful member of Collierville United Methodist Church and was active in many organizations within the church. She loved her time singing in the choir. She was also a member of the Heritage Club of Germantown and belonged to several bridge groups because of her love of the game. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive from 10:30 a.m. until the service time at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery located on Hacks Cross Rd. Memorials may be made to Collierville United Methodist Church. CHILDS, ANN B. - Memphis  
Ann B. Childs born Annie Lea Baumann on January 19, 1928, passed peacefully at home on June 28, 2015 at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Childs, son Terry Gooch, brother Everett Baumann, and sisters Dorothy Collins and Hazel Hurst. She is survived by her niece, Sandra Dickey, her stepson, Michael Childs and his wife, Rayeann Childs and multiple family members. She was a member of St. Stephens Methodist Church in Memphis. She was a graduate of Treadwell High School and enjoyed a long career at Exxon where she was an executive assistant. She also enjoyed being a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts, watering skiing, deep sea fishing, and vacationing at several local lakes as well as traveling. Later in life she found pleasure in ceramics where she won several awards. After retiring from Exxon she and her husband were owners of ABC Discount Sales on National for several years. We would like to thank the staff of Elmcroft Assisted Living for the thoughtful and loving care that they provided for her during the last five years. There will be a gathering of family and friends from twelve o’ clock until one o’clock at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN, with a graveside service to follow at one thirty in Memphis Memory Gardens all on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 30.
