Robert Ned “Goodness” McKinnie, Sr. 82, Korean War Veteran, and retired Seessels employee (33 years) died January 17, 2013. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 25 at M.J. Edwards Funeral Home 1165 Airways, Funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday January 26 at Ellis Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 3500 Macon Rd, Interment in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery Monday, January 28 at 2 p.m. He was preceded in death by his mother Maryann and father Earl B. McKinnie. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Thelma Jean, two daughters, Shirley (W. Bernard) Murphy, Dellashay Laird, two sons, Dr. Robert McKinnie Jr. (Martine), Patrick McKinnie, two stepsons Donald Ray Rice (Rebecca), and Reginald Rice; five sisters: Idellar Murden, of Collierville, TN, Vandellar Hill of Nashville, TN, Emily Woods of Bolivar, TN, Mary McKinnie and Visie McKinnie of Memphis, TN; two brothers: Foguie McKinnie and Johnnie McKinnie of Grand Junction, TN; and a very special nephew, James Nolen, Jr. (Laura), 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
