Carol Ann Rowe, 65, of Memphis died June 20, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of Memphis, Miss Rowe graduated from Immaculate Conception Elementary and High Schools, earned her BA degree from the University of Memphis and received her Master’s of Fine Arts post graduate degree from the University of Virginia. She was Senior Visual Merchandising Manager at JCPenney until her retirement in 2003. For many years Miss Rowe served as Coordinator of the Ministry of the Sick for the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. She was also a member of the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art and the Cathedral Fatima Guild. Miss Rowe was the daughter of William Marine Rowe (deceased) and Dorothea Adler Rowe (deceased), both of Memphis and sister of Mary Rowe Beszterczei (deceased) of Edison, NJ. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, William Marine Rowe, Jr., (Martha) of St. Louis, MO. She had six nephews and nieces (one has gone to heaven), eleven grand-nephews and grand-nieces and numerous cousins from the Rowe and Adler families. Miss Rowe was a communicant of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception for over 50 years where services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 26. A visitation is scheduled at Canale Funeral Directors on Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. followed by recitation of the Rosary. The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
