Jordan was born May 31, 1986 in Memphis, TN to Debra Austin and John Daniel Sledd Sr. Jordan was a Varsity cheerleader at Christian Brothers High School and The University of Mississippi. Jordan enjoyed spending time outdoors, scuba diving and snorkeling, playing and listening to music, playing chess with his brothers, golfing, jui jitsu, rooting for the Ole Miss Rebels, and spending time at the family farm in Chickasaw. He was a small business owner and operator of Oxford Gold Buyers in Oxford, Mississippi. Jordan centered his life around family grandfather Tony Austin; brother JD Sledd, wife Elizabeth and their daughter Jade; brother Austin Sledd, wife Sarabeth and their children Jax Ellis and Eden; sister McFerrin Sledd Berryhill and husband Ryan; Aunts Tina Austin, Rose Lyon, Virginia Roberts, Sara Foster, and Donna Austin; Uncles Marty Austin and Mark Lyon and many beloved family members and cousins around the Memphis area. Jordan was a loving, wonderful, and charismatic person who will be forever missed and remembered. We will celebrate his life this Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. at Heffernan Hall, Christian Brothers High School.
