BOW - Theresa M. (Hebert) Farren, 85, of Bow, died of heart failure Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Presidential Oaks in Concord with her family and caregivers by her side.
Theresa was born in South Grafton, Mass. July 18, 1927, to Jacque and Adele Hebert. One of eight children and with the death of their mother after childbirth, Theresa was strongly connected to her family. It was in the village of Fisherville, Mass. where she was raised, attended school and began working in the mill.
She lived for many years in Medfield, Mass. where she was employed as a beautician at Medfield State Hospital, retiring with over 30 years of service as a state employee. It was there that she met her husband, Charles Farren, marrying in 1960. After retirement, they moved to Concord to be close to their only child. She became an active member of Jensen's Crestwood community where she made many friends. Eventually life changes brought her to the White Rock Senior community in Bow, and she loved her nine years living there and cherished those friendships.
Theresa's interests included bowling as a member of the Medfield Women's Bowling League and her love of Boston sports teams. She could talk baseball and the Red Sox with any fan. She especially loved following her grandson's team sports. She was an avid bingo player and talented knitter and crafter. She was an active member of the Happy Hookers club of White Rock.
Theresa is survived by her daughter, Ann Bradley Hebert and her grandson, Michael Bradley and wife Miiko, all of Concord. She also leaves one great grandchild, Maia Bradley; brothers, Joseph Hebert of Shrewsbury, Mass. and Joseph Louis Hebert of North Attleboro, Mass., and her sister-in-laws, Viola, Dolores and JoAnn. She treasured the many nieces and nephews that survive her.
She is pre-deceased by her parents and brothers, Ernest, Gerald 'Blackie', and Eric, and sisters, Lorraine and Marie.
Theresa's daughter and grandson want to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Presidential Oaks and the Beacon Hospice Team who cared for her with expert skill and unending kindness.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, February 24, from 2 to 5 p.m., at Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Miller Street, Medfield, Mass.
A funeral service will follow at the funeral home Monday, February 25, at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in the family lot at Vine Lake Cemetery, Medfield, Mass.

Sending sympathy on the loss of your mother. Theresa was a neighbor when she lived at Jensen's. I used to pick her up and bring her home after Bingo for many years. We had a lot of laughs. She was such a trouper. I missed her after she moved to White Rock.
