Pinkos, Richard Joseph - Cornish  
CORNISH, Maine – Richard Joseph Pinkos, 73, of Cornish died unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at the Maine Medical Center surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Holyoke, Mass. on June 28, 1941, a son of Joseph and Jean (Razuk) Pinkos. He graduated from Chicopee High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Guantanamo Bay Cuba. He was then employed with United Parcel Service for several years and moved to Allenstown. He married his wife, Sondra "Sunny" (Chisholm) and relocated to Cornish, Maine in 1977 to work with her at the Enterprise Restaurant. He also worked at WFS and Maine Medical Center. He was a member of the Riverside United Methodist Church in Kezar Falls and the American Legion in Waterville, Maine. His favorite hobbies were camping, fishing, gardening, bird watching and feeding. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving are his beloved wife Sondra "Sunny" Pinkos of Cornish; three daughters, Arlene McGrath and husband, George of Hopkinton, Karen Pinkos and companion, Noemi Ottowitz of Goffstown and Sheryl-Lynn Haddad and husband, Mark of Goffstown; a brother, Raymond Pinkos and wife, Laurie of South Carolina; a sister, June Riverin and husband, Phil of Belchertown, Mass.; two stepsons, Carl Ronco Jr. and wife, Kim of Kezar Fallsand John Ronco and wife, Cindy of Bar Mills;13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one more on the way. Also several nieces and cousins. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Dec. 18, from 3 to 7 p.m. with U.S. Navy Honors at 7 p.m. at the Watson, Neal & York Funeral Home, Cornish, Maine. There will be no funeral service and burial will be private. Online condolences may be expressed at wnyfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Provencher, Gladys M. (Stone) - Concord  
Gladys M. (Stone) Provencher passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at Concord Hospital, hospice care, following a long period of declining heath. She resided at Merrimack County Nursing Home for the past five years. Gladys was born in Manchester on Feb. 2, 1921, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Deperron) Stone and lived in Concord most of her life. She ran a rooming house on Spring Street for several years. She worked as a personal care giver until her retirement. Before that she cooked for the halfway house in Concord. Gladys loved yard sales, cooking, dancing, crafts, animals and babies, especially "girls." She also enjoyed gardening and rides to the beach. Gladys leaves behind her daughter, Diane Bokum of Loudon; three grandsons, Mike Bishop of Concord, Chris LeTendré of Sandwich, Mass. and Lance Coté of Concord; three great-grandchildren, Jessica and Samuel LeTendré and Piper Coté; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Gerard Provencher; four sisters, Yvonne Harnois of Concord, Irene Thibodeau of Manchester, Oria Denault of Pinardville and Therese Fanny of Allenstown. Friends and family are invited to gather Friday, Dec. 19, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, 172 King St. in Boscawen. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Cremation Society Chapel. The Cremation Society of NH, Boscawen office, is assisting the family with arrangements.
