Arlene Homon(1929 - 2012)

LOUDON - Arlene Homon, 83, died Friday, November 9th, 2012 at the Concord Hospital.

Arlene was born in Concord in May of 1929 to Richard and Mary (Hall) Morrill and has lived in Loudon for the past 30 years coming from the Bow-Concord area; she grew up and lived most of her life.

Arlene most recently worked for the Concord Monitor as a Currier retiring at the age of 80. Prior to the paper she worked at Sprague Electric for many years.

Arlene is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Concord where she volunteered for many years in the church's genealogy library. She also enjoyed going for drives on weekends looking for yard sales to attend.

She is predeceased by a daughter and son in-law Kathy and Brian Plante; a son Paul Reynolds; a sister Francis Helfenstein; and two brothers Herbert and Richard Morrill.

Arlene is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years Phillip Homon of Loudon; a daughter and her husband Arlene "Arnie" and Al Cyr Jr. of Concord; a son and his companion Bill Hodgman and Lauren MacDonald of Weare; a step daughter and her husband Patti and Bill Day of Penacook; a son Steve Reynolds; and her grandchildren Young Al, Christopher, Jenny, Carin, Alicia, Thatcher, Carisa, Billy, Mikki, Anthony, Sherry, Venessa, Justin and Shannon; 14 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, November 15, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Wendell J. Butt Funeral Home, 42 Washington Street, Penacook.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 16, at 10 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 90 Clinton Street, Concord, with internment following in the Henniker Old Cemetery in Henniker. Bishop Steven Foley will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Edna McKenna Trust Fund, 325 D.W. Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303 which helps supports resident activities at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen.
