Arthur Palmer French

WESTMORE, Vt. - Arthur Palmer French, 84, was born May 9, 1929, and died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013.

A 1949 graduate of Northfield Mount Hermon, he entered UVM and then served as naval communications officer before returning to graduate in 1959. A 32 year resident of Concord, he worked for both Sprague Electric and the State of New Hampshire, before retiring to his childhood home in 1992.

Survived by Mary, his wife of 60 years, as well as his twin brother, Wayne and wife, Nancy, he is also survived by his children, Katherine French and Tim Hamilton of Cambridge, Mass., Melanie French of Westmore, Vt., David and Jeannie French of Hopkinton and Daniel French and Diane Curtin of Concord; grandchildren, Mary Hamilton French of Cambridge, England, Leah Hamilton French of Houston, Ben Kindregan of Boston, Billy and Matt French of Hopkinton and Nicholas Curtin French of Concord.

Services will be held Sunday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m. at the Westmore Community Church, followed by refreshments in Community Hall.
