Barbara J. "Betsy" Warriner(1927 - 2014)

DUNBARTON – Barbara J. "Betsy" Warriner, 87, a resident of Dunbarton for the past 61 years, passed away at home surrounded by family Monday, Jan. 27, 2014.

Betsy, also known to her family as Gram, Nana and Mamoo, was born Jan. 15, 1927, in Concord. She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Stronach) Gifford.

Betsy was predeceased in 1985 by her husband of 40 years, Joe Warriner.

She is survived by her three loving children who have cared for her for the past several years, daughters, Barbara Dunham of Bedford and Kathleen Warriner of Dunbarton; and son, Jody Warriner of Dunbarton. In addition, she leaves behind her sister, Helen Knight; and her brother, Robert Gifford; grandchildren, Christine Lambert and her husband, Bob, Dwight Stevens and his wife, Suzette and Chip Dunham; and great-grandchildren, Chad and Leah Lambert, Ryan and Derrick Baldwin and Dylan and Nicole Stevens; and many nieces and nephews.

Betsy was also predeceased by her brothers, Donald Gifford, Alexander Gifford, Ted Gifford and John Gifford; her sisters, Virginia Sargent and Jessie Wheeler; and her granddaughter, Tonya Stevens.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 17, at 11 a.m. at Evans Cemetery in Bow.
