Bess-Mae Greenberger Jones

HUDSON, Fla. - Bess-Mae Greenberger Jones, 75, of Hudson, Florida, died December 12, 2012. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Bess-Mae graduated from Buffalo State in 1955 with a B.S. in Gerontology. She retired as an educator in New Hampshire in 1993 and moved to Florida to work for the Florida Department of Education's food services division in Tallahassee. After moving to Pasco County, Bess-Mae worked many years at a farm that specialized in teaching equestrian skills to the handicapped. Bess-Mae had a gift for motivational speaking and loved to teach classes, especially the topic of "aging gracefully". She had a witty and wonderful sense of humor and was loved by many people.

She is survived by her husband, Curtis; sons, Allan Stickler and Jeremy Jones; daughter, Jennifer Coutts; foster daughter, Laurie Spada; grandchildren, James, Austin, and Emily Mariano, Cameron Birkmire and Matthew Jones.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Caren Mariano.

There will be a grave side service Sunday, April 28, at 11 a.m., conducted by Rabbi Robin Nafshi, in the Beth Jacob section of Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 N. State St., Concord.
