Epsom – Cecile A. Marini, 79, an Epsom resident for the past 15 years, died unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Concord Hospital.
Born in Amesbury, Mass., on March 22, 1934, Cecile was the daughter of Albert and Imelda (Perreault) DeSerres. She lived in Wilmington, Mass., for many years, serving that community as a police officer
. She later worked for Analog Devices as a test technician.
She was active with the Pittsfield Senior Center, Harvey Lake Women's Club, Northwood Senior Bus Tours and the Red Hats of Allenstown. She enjoyed traveling the roads of northern New England to sightsee, shop and dine. Cecile also liked to express her views and had many letters published in the Concord Monitor opinion pages.
Members of her family include two children and their spouses, Michael Marini and Diana of Northwood, and Nancy Winslow and Robert of Sandown; a brother, Norman DeSerres of Danville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 .p.m at Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom. Committal services and burial will take place Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery in Amesbury, Mass.
