Frank G. "Jerry" Sylvester

Mr. Frank G. "Jerry" Sylvester, 63, who made his home in both Chichester and Epsom, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, at the Epsom Health Care Center after a lengthy illness.

Born in Newport, Jerry was the son of Frank and Kathryn (McKay) Sylvester. He grew up in West Yarmouth on Cape Cod, graduating from Dennis Yarmouth Regional High School, where he was captain of the 1968 soccer team.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from Blue Seal Feeds.

Jerry loved spending time with family and had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed classic sports cars, especially Corvettes, and was an avid sports fan with a special love of fishing.

Jerry is survived by two sons, Frank Sylvester of Pittsfield and Erich Sylvester of Loudon; three grandchildren, Adrianna, Melody and Alden; a sister, Brenda Frekey of Florida; a brother, Robert Dean of Massachusetts; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother James "Jimmy."

Family and friends may gather to share memories on Friday, June 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom. Services will begin at 5:45 p.m.
