Frank N. "Skip" Hansen

DANBURY - Frank "Skip" N. Hansen of Ragged Mountain Road, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at Pleasant View Center after a brief illness.

He was born in South Burlington, Mass., the son of the late Edwin B. Hansen and Marie (Comers) Gunter. He was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Skip worked for Mitre Corp in Burlington, Mass. He moved to Breckenridge, Colo. where he was the owner and operator of a store for many years. He moved back to Derry, then finally settled in Danbury.

He is survived by his daughters, Marcia Hansen of Virginia, and Susan Tirrell and her husband, Dean, of Henniker; three grandchildren, Susan, Jarrod and Kiel; two great-grandchildren; his sister, Sandy Heerman of Florida; two nieces and many cousins.

Memorial visiting hours will be held Friday, Dec. 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main St., Concord.

A committal service with military honors will be held in the Spring at the NH State Veterans Cemetery.
