Harriet H. Walker

Harriet H. Walker, 100, former resident of Concord, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Westborough, Mass.

Harriet was a long time resident of Concord, the daughter of Hamilton and Maud Heartz, the wife of Donald C. Walker. A graduate of Concord High School, class of 1932, and Concord Business School, she lived in Concord, until September of 2007.

In 1975 Harriet retired from the State of New Hampshire after working there for more than 35 years. She was a member of Fidelity Rebekah Lodge for over 50 years, Bow Mills United Methodist Church, State Employees Association of N.H., Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Business Professional Woman's Club.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald C. Walker, who died in 1980 and a brother, G. Robert Heartz, who died in 1989.

She is survived by her son, Robert A. Walker, and his wife, Gail E. Walker, both of Westborough, Mass. A granddaughter Kerrie A. Galvin; great-granddaughters, Rebecca E. Galvin and Olivia C. Galvin; a great grandson, Trevor R. Galvin; and nieces and a nephew.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Whitney Place, Westborough Mass., and Beaumont Rehabilitation and skilled Nursing Center, Westborough Mass. for the support and compassion shown to Harriet and her family.

A memorial service is planned to be held at a later date.
