TILTON – Howard "John" Churchill, 61, of Noyes Road, died at his home Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012.
Mr. Churchill was born Dec. 18, 1950, in Yonkers, N.Y., the son of Howard and Rose (Lynch) Churchill.
Mr. Churchill served in the U.S. Navy
. He was a mechanical engineer for 30 years and was employed at Mercury Computer Systems.
Mr. Churchill loved seeing his grandchildren.
He is survived by his significant other, Mona Palmer of Tilton; a daughter, Stacey Carter and her husband, Roland, of Northfield; a son, Daniel Churchill and his wife, Gena, of Tilton; five grandchildren, Aden, Ethan, Jack, Ariana and Aeson; two loving dogs, Jimmy and Kassie; a brother, David Churchill of Connecticut; and four sisters, Judy Churchill and Peggy Kaplan, both of New York, Debbie Churchill of Michigan and Sue-Anne Churchill of New York.
He was predeceased by his parents and by his brother Jimmy Churchill.
There will be no calling hours.
A private service will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway Route 3, Boscawen.
