Kathleen Dorothy Parkington(1923 - 2104)

Kathleen Dorothy Parkington died peacefully at home with her daughter, Joanne and son-in-law, William Merisotis of Concord, Friday, April 25, 2014.

She was the 9th great-granddaughter of Capt. John Underhill who was governor of New Hampshire until 1640. Kathleen was born in Norwalk, Conn. on Sept. 28, 1923.

She graduated with honors from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.

Kathleen and Harry Parkington were happily married for 65 years. They had seven children, 18 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Kathleen had a passion for literature, politics, languages and music. Her love of music spawned a myriad of musicians in her family: singer-songwriters, composers, performers and music teachers.

The family of Kathleen extends a heart felt thank you to Sharon Judson for her three years of dedicated care-giving.
