Myrl M. Ford, 87, of Washington Street, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 24, 2013, at his home and surrounded by family.
He was born in Orange, on June 11, 1925, son of Orra and Florence Ford. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Florence (Betty) Ford; his children, Jackie Laro and her husband, Frank, Patricia Twombly and her husband, Ike, Judy Turgeon and her husband, Henry, David Ford and his wife, Laurie, Stephen Ford and his wife, Bettina. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He attended Concord Schools and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy
during World War II
on the aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 28, at 2 p.m. at the Faith Community Bible Church in Loudon.
Interment, with military honors, will be held May 30 at 1:30 p.m. at the Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests contributions to Myrl's church, Faith Community Bible Church in Loudon in lieu of flowers.
