PITTSFIELD - Mrs. Naomi R. (Joy) Hodgdon, 75, a lifelong Pittsfield resident, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at her home on River Road, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Concord August 25, 1937, Naomi was the daughter of the late Calvin and Gladys (Fifield) Joy. Prior to her retirement she had been employed at Pittsfield Weaving.
Mrs. Hodgdon loved shopping, yard sales, and auctions.
In addition to her parents, Naomi was predeceased by her husband, Carroll Hodgdon, Sr. in 2011; a granddaughter, Jennifer Hodgdon; and two sisters, Helen Davis and Lorraine Joy.
She is survived by five sons, Carroll Hodgdon, Jr. and his wife Brenda, Randy Hodgdon, and Tom Hodgdon, all of Pittsfield, Donald Hodgdon and his wife Donna of Tilton, and John Hodgdon and his fiancée Tammy Rand of Epsom; a daughter, Pam Boisvert and her husband Joe of Concord; 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren; five siblings, Doris Gerlack, Beverly Price, Grace Locke, Henry Joy and Kevin Joy; and many nieces and nephews. In addition, she leaves her friend and caregiver, Linda Bedell; and her loving dogs, Shania and Blue.
Friends and relatives are invited to gather Sunday, December 16, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home, 1217 Suncook Valley Hwy. in Epsom.
Graveside services will be held Monday, December 17, at 11 a.m., at Floral Park Cemetery in Pittsfield. Pastor Charles Bolstridge will officiate
