FRANKLIN - Phyllis B. Mosher, 90, of Pleasant Street, Franklin, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at the Franklin Regional Hospital following a short illness.
She was born in Hill on Aug. 8, 1922, the daughter of Elmer Henry Brock and Angie M. (Ackerman) Brock. She grew up in the Old Hill Village and was a 1940 graduate of Franklin High School. She moved to Franklin in 1946. For 50 years Phyllis was the loving and devoted wife of Richard O. Mosher.
They traveled together all over central New Hampshire buying and selling livestock before his death July 11, 1990. She loved to cook and took pride in every meal she prepared. Any friends or family that stopped by could count on a large meal complete with a special dessert. She also raised a large garden and canned a lot of vegetables. She always fed the birds and in recent years she received much enjoyment watching the squirrels, turkeys, and woodchucks that she saw around her home.
Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Richard O. Mosher; sister, Anne M. Dickinson; brother, Elmer Brock; and nephew Kenneth Brock.
She is survived by two sisters, Marion Colburn of New Port Richey, Fla. and Myrna Tenney of Tilton. Nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and relatives may call Sunday, May 5, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Monday, May 6, from 11 a.m. to noon, at the H.L. Young & Company Memorial Home, 175 South Main St., Franklin.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 6, at noon at the H.L. Young & Company Memorial Home, with Rev. Carol Cray officiating.
Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery.
