Robert L. Drouin(1928 - 2014)

Robert L. Drouin, 85, of Concord, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014, at Mountain Ridge Center in Franklin with his wife, Emily, at his side.

He was born on March 14, 1928, Concord, son of the late Ernest and Rose (Arcand) Drouin. He attended Concord schools. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army.

Robert worked for the State of NH Department of Employment Security as a building mechanic. He was an avid golfer and was a member of Beaver Meadow Golf Club for many years. On Friday, June 17, 1977 he made a hole in one on the 15th hole. He enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Patriots and the Boston Bruins. He also enjoyed wood working. He enjoyed traveling he and his wife Emily visited many points of interest in several states.

He is survived by his wife, Emily (Gaudette) Drouin; two daughters, Diane Hawks and her husband, Michael, of New London, Ark. and Carol Fifield and her husband, Dale, of Clayton, N.C.; grandchildren, Michael Hawks Jr. and Loretta Hawks, Adam and Austin Fifield; two stepdaughters, Karen Milan of Penacook, and Diane Hull and her husband, Roy, of Hooksett; step-grandchildren, Justine Milan, Christopher, Ryan and Brandon Hull, and Bonnie Bouffard; two sisters, Violet Jenkins and Florence Blake; nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Doris Vermette and Jeannette Bertolami; and his brother, Maurice Drouin.

A visiting hour will be held Thursday, Feb. 13, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main St., Concord.

A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main St., Concord.

Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Concord.
