Ruth F. Ellis, 80, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Harris Hill Center, Concord.
She was born on Sept. 26, 1932, in Worcester, Mass. to Emma M. (Pike) Day and George B. Day. She had one brother George B. Day Jr. Ruth spent most of her life in New Hampshire.
She was the assistant housekeeper for 13 years at the Ramada/Holiday Inn, Concord. After leaving the Ramada/Holiday Inn, she worked for many years as a private housekeeper. Ruth had a great love of music, especially anything Elvis. While at the Harris Hill Center, she was known to sing and dance spontaneously whenever she heard music. She loved all animals especially her beloved cat, Tiffy.
Ruth is survived by her spouse of 37 years, Robert F. Ellis; her children, Sharon Wayman and her husband, Shawn of Loudon, Deborah Bazemore and her partner James Callahan of Concord, Linda Tirrell of Epsom and Clarence P. Tirrell Jr. and his wife Virginia of Pittsfield; her grandchildren, Danielle Miner, Jennifer Wayman, Craig Wayman, Jeremy Hardy, Jason Hardy, Duane Hardy Jr., Scott Tirrell, Stacy Pasko, Christie Tirrell, Catie Tirrell and many great grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. at Harris Hill Center, 20 Maitland St., Concord.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Harris Hill Center, Resident Council Fund to help provide music to the residents.
