GOFFSTOWN - Mrs. Shirley (Malfait) Roberge, 85, a longtime resident of both Allenstown and Hooksett, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a period of failing health.
Born and raised in Concord, Shirley was the daughter of George and Ruth (Kelley) Malfait. She worked for Dorson-Fleischer in Manchester, enjoyed fishing and her retirement.
Shirley was predeceased in 1998 by her husband of 50 years, Norman Roberge. She is survived by three daughters and their spouses, Norma Plaza and Joseph of Windham, Diane Rule and Edward of Center Barnstead and Carol Merrill and George of Goffstown; five grandchildren, Matt Plaza, Hannah Cassell, Mike, Stephen, and Kim Goyette; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Johnson of Manchester; a brother, Richard Malfait of Loudon; and nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 29, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
