Stuart A. Morash

Stuart A. Morash, 84, passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at Concord Hospital after a brief illness.

He is survived by Shirley, his wife of 61 years; four children, Laura Cooper of Hancock, Maine, Cathy McDonough of Manchester, Scott Morash of Hollis, Maine and Andrea Lively of Royalston, Mass; and six grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his brother, Mark of Missouri.

Stuart was born in Waltham, Mass., studied music at New England Conservatory and was a Sergeant 1st Class in the 29th Army Band in Okinawa. He completed his Bachelor's and Master's Degree at Boston University and taught as a music educator throughout New England. His Lebanon High School Band was chosen to represent the State of New Hampshire at the Kennedy inaugural in 1961 in Washington, DC.

Stuart loved the outdoors and was passionate about fishing, tied his own flies, hunted in his earlier years, and loved to raise his own vegetables. He loved spending time with his family and was a devoted husband, father and teacher and continues to hear from former students to this day.

Stuart has dedicated his body to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical School.
