Tracy A. Rose-McKeon, 42, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at Speare Memorial Hospital after a valiant fight with colon cancer. She was born in Beverly, Mass., the daughter of James and Judith (Whittier) Rose.
Tracy moved from Gloucester, Mass., in 1998 to Alexandria where she became active in the community. She enjoyed 10 years of coaching for the Tapply-Thompson Community Center softball program. She also coached cheerleading for the Plymouth Huskies and Newfound Regional High School.
Tracy decided to return to school at the Lakes Region Community College. In 2011 she received the President's Award of Excellence. She graduated as co-president of the Nursing Class of 2012 and a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
She was a nurse with Concord Family Medicine.
Tracy loved her family, time at the beach where she collected starfish, and traveling.
Family members include her husband, James McKeon, of Alexandria; her miracle baby, daughter Ashley Rose Rodolosi of Alexandria; her mother Judith Rose of Gloucester, Mass.; two stepchildren: Mitchell Palmer of Alexandria and Brittney Bucklin of Plymouth; a brother Mark Rose of Concord, Mass.; sister Erica Perry, wife of Louis Perry III of Gloucester, Mass.; two stepgrandsons: Joshua and Devon Cluff; nieces and nephews: Tayla, Olivia, Louis IV, Samantha, Elizabeth, Alisha, Alex, Vanessa, Tyler, Cameron, Mia, Sarah, James and Julia.
In addition to her father, James Rose, she was predeceased by one son, Nico Joseph Rodolosi.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 9, at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Voyage Church, 142 Prospect St., Gloucester, Mass. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, March 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Marian Center, 5 West Shore Road, Bristol, N.H.
