BOSCAWEN - Vernon Stebbins, who would have been 86 on Oct. 25, passed away at home with his family at his side Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013.
He was Born in Jaffrey, on Oct. 25, 1927, to Frederick and Lena Stebbins and lived in Boscawen most of his life.
Vernon is a U.S. Army
Veteran, past member of the Boscawen Much-I-Do Fire Department and the Concord H.O.G. Chapter.
Vernon worked at Samual Eastman Foundry and Brezner Tannery.
He loved hunting, riding his Harley and spending time with family.
He was predeceased by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include two sisters; his wife of 61 years, Barbara; sons, Doug and Richard; daughters, Lynn Nelson, Sandy Weld, Carol Burwen and Lori Lorden; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Burial services will be at the convenience of the family.
