WEBSTER – William B. Argie, 92, of Webster and Dennisport, Mass. died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at Concord Hospital.
He was born Aug. 11, 1921, and raised in Malone, N.Y., to the late Michael and Lillian (Lattimore) Argie. Also predeceased by one brother, Rev Robert Argie.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Florida Southern.
He went to work for the VA Hospital in Albany, N.Y. After several years he transferred to the VA Hospital in Bedford, Mass., residing in Billerica, Mass. for many years. He retired in 1979 as Chief of Recreation at the Bedford VA and moved to Cape Cod. He spent some of his retirement years in New Hampshire as well as in Sandwich and Dennisport, Mass.

Survived by his wife of 65 years, Rose Marie (Fitzgerald) Argie, of Dennisport, Mass.; two sons, Rev. William A Argie, of Butler, Ohio and R. James Argie, of Dennisport, Mass.; one daughter, Sandra A. Vanderpool, of Hillsboro; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Sunday, Feb. 2, at 12 p.m. in the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service Hillsboro.
Burial will be at a later date in Bourne V.A. Cemetery.
