Maurice F. Gagne

Maurice F. Gagne, 82, died Friday, July 20, 2012 at home with his loving family by his side after a long and courageous battle.

He was born in Manchester, the son of Francois X. and Alice J. (Robitaille) Gagne and lived in Concord most of his life.

He attended St. John's High School and married his wife of 61 years, Anita I. (Audette) Gagne. He worked for the B+M Railroad, owned commercial and residential properties, including his favorite passion, the housekeeping cottages/property on Newfound Lake.

Maurice was well know for his craftsmanship as a Master Finish Carpenter for over 58 years. He retired from the National Guard after 36 years of service. He enjoyed bowling, dancing, horseshoes, cribbage and sunsets on Newfound Lake and Aruba.

He is survived by his wife Anita (Audette) Gagne of Concord; son Scott Gagne and his wife Kelly of Barnstead; daughter Christine (Gagne) Morse and her husband Jeffrey of Penacook; brother Leonard Gagne and wife Mary of Texas; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

He is predeceased by his son Dennis Gagne and his wife Loretta; brothers Alfred Gagne, Roger Gagne; and sister Claudette McKenna.

He attended Sacred Heart Church and was a member of many organizations/clubs including the American Legion, VFW, Moose, Elks, Eagles and Knights of Columbus.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
