Thomas Rahmlow Obituary

Thomas D. Rahmlow Sr., 81, of Deering, died Thursday, April 14, 2011 in the Pleasant View Center in Concord where he had been under the care of Hospice after a short but hard fought battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Thaddeus and Marion Rahmlow of Stamford, Conn. He is survived by Mary Chagnon, his companion of nearly eight years; his seven children; five grandchildren; sister Marion Sardaro; and brothers Thaddeus, Herbert and Richard Rahmlow. He was predeceased by his wife Sylvia Rahmlow.



He retired from Casey Family Services in Connectiicut in 1995 and moved to Deering shortly thereafter.



He was an avid motorcyclist who preferred riding alone and he piloted his own small plane for many years. Other interests were flying model airplanes and at one time he ran a model airplane club for the youth of his city. In his middle years he was involved in Little League Baseball with his two youngest sons. He also enjoyed hunting and target shooting.



A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 7, at 1 p.m. in the Hillsboro United Methodist Church.



In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pastor's Give Fund of Hillsboro United Methodist Church or Bread of Heaven Ministries of Bridgeport, Conn.



Arrangements were handled by the Cremation Society of New Hampshire.
