Clarence "Clancy" A. Cunningham, age 95, of Concord, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2014, at Presidential Oaks in Concord.

He was born in Milton, Mass., the son of the late William T. and Margaret (Mooney) Cunningham.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II under Gen. George Patton.

He worked at the Franklin Dam and the Tilton Leather Co. Clarence worked in the kitchen at the New Hampshire Hospital and retired as a foreman in the paint shop where he worked for over 31 years.

He enjoyed boating, swimming and riding on his amphicat. He was a dedicated family man and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Bridget (Collins) Cunningham, who passed away in 2010; his sister, Alice Pepler; and two brothers, William and James Cunningham.

Clancy is survived by his daughter, Nancy Roy and her husband, John, of Concord; two grandchildren, Bridget and Thomas Roy, both of Concord; a sister, Eileen Boynton of Concord; sister-in-laws, Nora and Reina Collins, both of Concord; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, July 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 9, at 10 a.m. at Christ the King, St. John's Church, 72 S. Main St., Concord. Burial will be at noon at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 DW Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303.
