Alberta Thelma Palmer passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Concord Hospital Hospice House after a period of declining health. She was 91.

A lifelong New Hampshire resident, Alberta was born to Maxwell and Frances Butterfield February 22, 1921. She was a graduate of Concord High School and married her high school sweetheart, Wayne George Palmer, on March 23, 1940, with whom she raised a family, established Palmer Realty, and built a summer cottage on a small lake in Barnstead. In her retirement years, she enjoyed traveling, painting New England landscapes, playing bridge and cribbage, and watching the Red Sox.
Alberta is survived by a brother, Mason; two sisters, Virginia and Nancy; a son, Wayne Jr.; a granddaughter, Michelle Coutu; several nieces and nephews, and their children.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Sherry.
Alberta's ashes will be spread along with those of her departed husband of 65 years at the Isles of Shoals, that together they shall ride the winds and waters in perpetuity.
