PENACOOK - Barry Mitchell, age 54, died Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Concord Hospital.

He was born in Concord, the son of Norman and Marjorie (Martin) Mitchell of Concord. He was a graduate of Merrimack Valley High School.

Barry worked as a receptionist for Merrimack County Nursing Home for over 20 years. He was past Master Counselor of the Rumford Chapter of DeMolay Rifle association; a member of the White Mountain Priory, and a member of the former United Methodist Church in Penacook. He was a proud member of the NRA, and a History buff especially when it came to the Military Branches.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Parent) Mitchell of Penacook; his children, Philip Mitchell of Concord, Michael Mitchell and his wife Colleen of Loudon, and Sara Mitchell of Penacook; one granddaughter, Vanessa Mitchell; and two grandsons, Ryan and Jeremiah Mitchell; a brother, David Mitchell and his wife Dorothy; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial visiting hours will be held Wednesday, January 16th, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main Street, Concord.

A Memorial Service will follow at noon in the Chapel of the Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Millville Cemetery, Concord.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
