Bernard EJ Connor, 90, passed away after a long struggle with kidney disease Wednesday, March 6, 2013 in Concord.

"Bud" as he was called, was born in Rutland, Vt., January 21, 1923. He was the son of Edward Connor and Georgiana (Lattimore) Connor. After his service with the Army he attended and graduated from New England School of Art majoring in commercial art. He was married to Lorraine (Newell) Connor May 17, 1952. The couple celebrated their 60th anniversary last year with many family and friends present.
After graduation Bud and his wife moved to New York to pursue his career as a commercial artist in the advertising field. Several years later he was hired by Raytheon as a technical illustrator working on national defence systems. He retired from Raytheon in 1987. Post his retirement, Bud devoted his time to woodworking and creating heirloom works of art for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Lorraine Connor; a brother in law Leonard Roberge; two children, Pamela Connor-Slye, Kevin EJ Connor and their spouses Gordon Slye and Cheryl Connor; seven grandchildren, Christine (Slye) Freethey and her spouse James Freethey, Kate Slye, Robert Slye, Patrick Connor, Caleb Connor, Brett Clairmont and Cameron Clairmont; one great grandson, Colton Freethey; seven nieces and nephews, David Small, Dolores Mangan, Joan Sullivan, Lucile Nadeau, Edward Roberge, David Whitham, Nancy Whitham; and six great nieces and nephews.
A private service and celebration of life will be held for his family and close friends.
