Carlyn A. Heath, 91, was called to the angels Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Pleasant View Center following a brief illness.

Born in Syracuse, N.Y., the daughter of the late Fredrick F. and Josephine C. (Hewitt) Veit. She graduated from St. Cecilia's High School in Englewood, N.J.
Carlyn recently moved to Granite Ledges, Concord, after living for 50 years in Ridgefield, N.J.
She started her business career at the Federal Reserve Bank of N.Y. where she worked for seven years and where she met the love of her life Eugene V. Heath. She retired from Olin Chemical (formally Philip A. Hunt Chemical), as Office Manager after 32 years, and then worked as a receptionist for H&R Block for 10 years and at the community center of the Borough of Ridgefield for five years.
Carlyn was an active member and officer of Saint Matthews Rosary Society, Saint Matthews players and the Ridgefield Theatre Guild. She was also a member of Saint Matthews choir for many years and a member of the Senior citizens of Ridgefield for where she served as Secretary, executive Vice President and President. Carlyn will be remembered for her beautiful voice and smile.
She is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Eugene.
She is survived by her son, Charles and his wife, Helen, of Glen Rock, N.J.; daughter, Catherine, and her husband, Kenneth Traum ,of Hopkinton; three grandchildren, David and Heather, and Marc.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Ridgefield, N.J.
