BOW – Carolyn has gone to be with the love of her life, Walter M. Bond Sr., and in the arms of our Lord. She was born to the late Lloyd M. Saltmarsh and Katherine (Sullivan) Saltmarsh, and twin to Evelyn, in Concord on April 9, 1937. She was one of seven siblings, Morgan (deceased), Evelyn (Tuffy) (deceased), Patty (deceased), Edward (Joe) of Rangeley, Maine, Alonzo (Lonnie) of Salisbury, and Ethel Adams of Wakefield. She was predeceased by her daughter Lynn, and was mother to Walter M. Bond Jr. of Bow, Lt. Col. Nathan Bond of Lake Geneva, Wis., James T. Bond Sr. of Loudon, Sharon Higgins of Plymouth, and Connie Derosier of Concord. She was a loving wife, sister, daughter, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and Ggreat-great-grandmother.
The Guest Book is expired.
She had many "adopted" sons and daughters. Many were friends that her sons brought home and who never left. She enjoyed rides to the beach, singing and camping in the White Mountains. Most of all, she enjoyed family gatherings and visiting everyone she had an address for! The last several years she spent at the Merrimack County Nursing home. She made many friends over the years, with residents and staff alike. She and her family were grateful for all the nursing care she was given with her great and various medical concerns. She looked forward to her Sunday visits with her grandchildren, trips to Dairy Queen or just down to eat at the "Main St. Cafe" at the home. After a sudden change in her health, her heart finally stopped on June 6th 2013.
She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she had touched.
