GILMANTON IRON WORKS - Dorothy Byers Littlefield, 90, passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at the Merrimack County Nursing Home.

Dorothy was born June 26, 1923, to the late George and Mildred Potter of Lower Gilmanton.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lower Gilmanton. Dorothy had worked several years at the New Hampshire Artistic Web in Barnstead.
After retiring she enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting and gardening.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert A. Byers, of Monroe, N.Y.; and later her second husband, Wilmer L. Littlefield, of Center Ossipee; as well as her sisters, Virginia M. Geddes of Sutherlin, Ore. and Florence A. Welch, Farmington; and her brother, Robert L. Potter Sr., Gilmanton Iron Works.
She leaves behind her sisters, Ruth E. Chase, Pembroke and Bernice C. Potter, Gilmanton Iron Works; her nieces, nephews Mr. and Mrs. Warren Carr, Rochester and George Carr, Barnstead.
There will be no calling hours.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. at the Riverview Cemetery, Barnstead.
Lord Funeral Home, Wolfeboro, is in charge of arrangements.
