BOSCAWEN – Earl A. Walter, 74, of Boscawen, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at the Concord Hospital due to complications of Parkinson's disease. Earl was born in Dalton, and was the son of the late Merl and Glenna (Sargent) Walter. Earl graduated from Whitefield High School, class of 1961 and after took a corresponding drafting course.

He then went to New Haven, Conn. Where he completed a 2 year Tool, Dye, Gage and Mold making course from Pratt & Whitney where he left with honors.

Earl is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Bailey) Walter of 14 years, of Boscawen.

He had two children with his first wife, Carol Walter, son, E. Alan Walter and wife, Susie Walter of Penacook, daughter, Carolyn Marie (Walter) Blackey predeceased him May 17, 2010.

His surviving siblings are Hollis and wife, Donna Walter of Dalton, Dennis and wife, Cathy Walter of Dalton, Donna Whiting of Lancaster and Larry "Chug" and wife, Judy Walter of Concord.

In addition to his parents and daughter, Earl was also predeceased by his sister, Merlene Marie.

Earl loved all his grandchildren, Nathan Walter of Belmont and Danielle Walter of Gilford, whom he nicknamed "Blondie", have him a great-grandson, Colton Kingsley, whose father is Edgar Kingsley Jr.

Timothy Harper and Ashley Harper of Penacook were Carolyn's whole world and she was a great mom.

Earl also leaves two stepsons, David Bailey and family and Gary.

Earl loved socializing with family and friends, that's why he enjoyed putting on the annual Labor Day cookout. Attending were two of his favorite nephews from New York, Marty Macie and wife, Cathy and Bernie Macie and wife, Lisa. They would also visit Uncle Earl for no special reason.

Another special couple to attend was Marilyn and Paul Nylen of Webster.

Earl was also close to his cousin, Lorena Lowell "Sis" of Concord, Vt., as well as his brother-in-law, Thayer "Muss" Newell, who passed Aug. 10, 2009, but still loved "Muss'" wife, Shirley Thayer of St. Johnsbury Center, Vt.

Earl did not want a service, however there will be a get together with family and friends up north later in the summer of 2018.
