Helen E. Sleeper, 98, of Havenwood Heritage Heights, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013.

She was born in Natick, Mass. the daughter of Clarence Arthur and Pearl May (Jennison) Wood. Helen was raised in Hopkinton, Mass. During the World War II time frame, the family moved several times. They finally settled in Southborough, Mass. The family was fortunate to have a camp on Lake Winnipesaukee and spent weekends and summers there. In 1982, the family moved to Bethlehem.
Helen spent most of her years as a homemaker and loved to spend time with and care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She shared her love of the lake and other outdoor activities with the whole family.
Family members include two daughters, Sylvia Sleeper of Concord and Sonya Connor of Santee, S.C.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Fred F. Sleeper.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Maple Street Cemetery in Bethlehem.
