HILLSBORO - Hudson "Bard" Lemkau III passed away unexpectedly at home Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the age of 42.

Bard was born January 22, 1971 to Alison (Birkins) and Hudson "Barry" Lemkau in Glen Cove, N.Y. and moved to Hillsboro in 1980.

He graduated from Hillsboro-Deering High School and New England College, Henniker. He worked as a business analyst for Evergreen Investments, Concord Group, and most recently at Michie Corp.

He is survived by his 7-year-old son, Evan, his "buddie," around whom his life was centered. He also leaves his parents, his "lil' sis," Amanda, and his grandmother, Ruth Birkins.

Friends are invited to join his family and share memories of Bard on Saturday, February 16, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service 32 School St., Hillsboro.

Burial will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, his family would welcome contributions to the "Bard Lemkau Memorial Fund" which has been established at Sovereign Bank, 53 W. Main St., Hillsboro, NH 03244, for Evan's education.

Bard would want everyone to live each day as if it were your last. For more log on to www.holtwoodburyfh.com.
