Irene Helen Bisson, 75, passed away peacefully on Aug. 25, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born Irene Helen Ripley in Magalloway, Maine on April 7, 1937 to Kenneth and Olive Ripley. She was raised and loved by her stepmother, Edith Ripley.

Irene was previously employed by Concord State Hospital and also worked with her husband, Joe at the former Janet's Donut Shop. She serves as a past member of the Concord Fire Department Ladies Auxillary.

Irene was predeceased by her sister, Elaine Hastings and brother, "Sonny" Ripley. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Joseph Henry Bisson. She is also survived by her children, Kenneth and wife Anne Ross-Raymond of Salisbury, Cheryl, and husband Glenn Anderson of Lynn, Mass., Karen and husband Philip Therrien of Nashua, Kevin and wife Joanna Raymond, of Franklin, Keith and wife, Catherine Raymond of Concord. Irene had 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.

Irene was extremely generous and was happiest when surrounded by family. She will be missed by many.

The family will be holding a private memorial.
