JAFFREY – Kenneth W. "Kenny" Grimes, 60, of Jaffrey was taken by the Good Lord peacefully in his sleep at his residence.
Kenny was born at Concord Hospital on July 3, 1952. He was the son of Joan and the late Harold Grimes, formerly of Hillsboro.
He graduated from Hillsboro-Deering High School in 1970. He attended Nathaniel Hawthorne College. He was a former police officer in Claremont, worked at the Bennington Paper Mill, was in sales at Carpenter Ford in Hillsboro, and retired from managing The Big Apple Station in Peterborough last year.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael, in 1990; and two nephews, Matthew Grimes in 1983 and Brian Grimes in 2002.
He was a beloved brother and will be missed by his siblings Bob and Hallie of Hillsboro, John of Versailles Kentucky, Tom of Groveton, Donna Miller of Sanbornton, Toni Goss of Rumney, MaryJo Dansereau of Westminster, Vt., Pattie LeBlanc of Dover, and Cathy Grimes of Edgewater, Fla. He was also a beloved uncle and great-uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
Friends and family are welcome to attend a celebration of life Mass for Kenny on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at St. Mary's church in Hillsboro at 10 am.
Following the burial at St. Charles cemetery, there will be a reception at St. Mary's church.
