Lois Richardson Obituary

DERRY – Lois Shirley (Scott) Richardson, 91, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 8, 2012, after a brief illness.

She was born Sept. 20, 1920, in Franklin. She lived in Concord for many years, where she worked for the New Hampshire State Hospital as a nurse. She retired after 30 years of service and later retired in Derry.

She loved animals, classical music and traveling to Nova Scotia, but, most of all, she loved her family. She was a wonderful cook, talented quilter and gifted at cross stitch, and enjoyed crafts of all kinds.

She was predeceased by her oldest daughter, Janice Styles of Franklin.

Survivors include her sister, Velma Pope of Antrim; her daughter, Nancy McGorry of Washington; granddaughter, Paula Styles Gilbert and Arthur Gilbert Jr. of Canterbury; grandsons, Douglas Styles of Nashua, William and Holly Styles II of Laconia, John M. and Cindi Styles of Franklin, Jeremy Styles of Franklin and Brendan Styles of Franklin; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Alex, Ross, Elyse, Katarina, Keith, Breanna, Ryan and Kayden; and her son-in-law, John W. Styles of Franklin.

Calling hours will not be held and a private family burial will be held later in the spring.
