FALMOUTH, Mass. – Raine Mellitt of Falmouth, Mass., and former long-time resident of Concord, died peacefully Thursday, April 25, 2013, at JML Healthcare Center following a long illness.

Raine was born on February 15, 1929, to John B. and I. Mary (Gonthier) Moran in Fitchburg, Mass. Raine graduated from Lunenburg High School, Lunenburg, Mass.
Raine, a free and mischievous spirit, was a loving and devoted sister, mother, grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed by all.
Raine leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Joan Moran, of Townsend Harbor, Mass.; sister-in-law and husband, Betty and Dick Kaake, of Fitchburg, Mass.; daughters, Nancy Mellitt, of Concord and Judith Cooperrider of Marstons Mills, Mass. Grandchildren Alison Thomas (Nate), of Key West, Fla., Matt Denoncourt, of Andover, Lauren Notemyer (Mike) and Thomas and Julia Cooperrider, of Marstons Mills, Mass.; son-in-law David Cooperrider; and her great-granddaughter and the apple of her eye, Layla Notemyer; along with many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Friday, May 3, at 11 a.m., at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Fitchburg, Mass. The Rev. Joseph Dolan of St. Bernard at St. Camillus will officiate.
