He spent many happy days in Hanover before moving to Pembroke at the age of eight.
He was a graduate of Bishop Brady High School in Concord, Class of 1971. At Brady he enjoyed basketball, but truly excelled at track and cross-country, winning numerous awards and well-deserved recognition.

Mark also leaves three nieces and one nephew: Caitlin Wolf, currently serving in the Peace Corps in Botswana; Lindsay Wolf, teaching while pursuing her Masters degree at Northeastern University in Boston; Chelsea Lovering, a registered nurse on the seacoast; and R. J. Lovering, working toward a Bachelors degree in sports management at Plymouth State University.
