Maurice H. Girard, 83, died Monday, January 28, 2013 after a period of declining health at Hospice House in Concord. Maurice was born March 28, 1929 in Manchester, to the late Herman and Laura (Chevrette) Girard. He attended Allenstown schools before becoming a carpenter working with his father and uncles building houses in the Suncook area. He served in the armed forces from 1951-1953 stationed in Austria. He was a member of the VFW, Suncook Knights of Columbus and the NRA and the Suncook Rod and Gun Club.

Maurice was a kind, loving and gentle man who loved gardening, hunting, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; step mother Marie-Ange (Boudreau); brothers Roger and Ronald; sisters Lorraine Coulombe, Priscilla Brown and Dorothy Gancarz.
He is survived by brothers Gilbert of Manchester, Paul and wife Donna of Candia, Ed and wife Barbara of Pembroke, David and wife Barbara of Goffstown; sisters Lucille Roy and husband David of Allenstown, Patricia Moran and husband John of Pembroke; many nieces and nephews; and his great friend Arline Guertin of Allenstown
There are no calling hours.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 2, at 10 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown.
Burial will be in the spring at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations made to CRVNA Hospice House, 30 Pillsbury Street, Concord, NH 03301.
