BARRINGTON - Robert A. Wilcox, 89, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at the Hyder House in Dover.

Robert, Bob to his friends and family, was born Sept. 12, 1924, to Willis and Laura (Saturley) Wilcox in Concord. Robert was married to Irene (Meattey) Wilcox for 40 wonderful years.
Robert served in World War II as a Sergeant for the Army Air Force.
Robert was a father to three sons, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; son, Robert Wilcox Jr., wife, Diane Wilcox, granddaughters, Pamela Wilcox Moulton and Rhonda Wilcox Beauchemin, great-granddaughter, Katie Wilcox Beauchemin; son, Brodie Wilcox and wife, Joanne Wilcox, grandson, Brodie Wilcox Jr.; son, Brian Wilcox and wife, Ann Wilcox, grandson, Matthew Wilcox and granddaughter, Jessica Wilcox.
Robert had an extended family of four stepchildren, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Stepdaughter, Linda Mariotti; two grandsons, Jason and Daniel Mariotti; one great-grandson, Jakob Mariotti; stepson, Robert Brown Jr. and wife, Joanne Brown, two grandsons, Kevin and Kirk Brown with two great-grandsons, Gavin and Matthew Brown; stepson, Rodney Brown and wife, Linda Brown, with two grandsons, Rodney Jr. and Scott Brown, and one granddaughter, Rebecca Brown; stepson, Randall Brown and wife, Yvette Brown, one grandson, Tyler Brown, and two granddaughters, Courtney and Kelsey Brown.
Robert was a wonderful husband and father. He was loved by all that knew him. His kindness and generosities were two of his greatest attributes.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hyder House, 285 County Farm Road, Dover, in memory of Robert Wilcox.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 10 a.m. at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Barrington, with full military honors and a bagpiper.
